When we talk about definition of fitness, we are referring to the procedures and ways in which we can take care of ourselves through doing different workouts and physical activities. There is as such no predefined definition of fitness because people defined it in their own terms and statements. Some people think that fitness is health and some people think that remain slim and smart is fitness. But no one has complete version of definition of fitness till now.

If we talk about media, they are giving us wrong impact about fitness. Like for example, you might have heard on TV that if you do not have the six pack abs, you do not lie in the list of fitness or if being women you are not fifty KG, you are not fit but the true meaning of fitness is that your body works in proper order and you remain healthy for long.

You have the potential of fighting against the diseases and you can survive in very hot and very cold weather in normal conditions. But this does not mean that you start to gain weight and start eating unhealthy food. If you have everything normal, you are healthy and you are fit.

Your normal weight, normal height, normal body mass and normal activities will show that you are fit. But to maintain your fitness and health, you need to perform some special things.

The first thing that will help you to lie in the list of people who are fit is your stamina.

For example, your stamina in doing games, exercises and your stamina in fighting against diseases. If you are strong enough to handle these situations, you are totally fit. You do not need to build six packs just to show that you are fit and healthy.

Your diet is another very important factor that can help you to remain healthy for longer and for this, you have to eat fresh foods. I do not say you should completely avoid fast food but it is okay occasionally, not regularly. Stick yourself to home made food and use fruits and vegetable in your diet. Eat fish, chicken and meat in less quantity and before eating it, make sure they are fully cooked and tender. Regular exercise and sports are very helpful for maintaining a fitness level. It does not mean that you need to build muscles but daily exercise of half an hour to one hour is enough for keeping you healthy, fit and active for long time. You are perfect if you know how to maintain yourself and what to do for living a healthy life and what to avoid.

So this was a simple definition for fitness that is obviously not the perfect but better than other definitions of fitness. If you are healthy and you have stamina to fight with your sickness, you are fit and you lie in the definition of fit people. So stop thinking to build muscles and maintaining your weight on fifty kilos and start looking for all activities hat can make you fit in real.
